Talent Interview
In-Depth Behavioral Interview Conducted by a Senior DecisionWise Consultant
There are a number of competencies that cannot be measured via online assessment, but can be captured through an extensive talent interview. Additionally, many of the results from online assessments can be further explored during the interview process.
An experience DecisionWise Assessment Consultant will conduct a talent interview with each participant, either face-to-face or by telephone, to review on-the-job behavior and potential. Prior to the interview, the consultant reviews the results of any completed assessments to identify areas that will be discussed during the interview.
During the interview, the consultant probes to further identify areas of strength and weakness. Participants are rated across a standard scale used by each of our consultants conducting these interviews. This allows for meaningful comparison across participants. However, our consultants are also trained to explore areas beyond standard questions in order to provide a more comprehensive understanding of potential.
- Interviewer Experience: DecisionWise Talent Interviewers have extensive experience in Human Resources, Organization Development, and Business, and have received specialized training in conducting Talent Interviews. These interviewers typically possess doctoral or masters level education in an assessment-related field.
- Questionnaire Development: DecisionWise uses a standard set of interview questions with each client. We also work with the client to identify further areas to be assessed, based on those competencies most critical to the organization and position. These will be formulated into questions, and rating scales will then be assigned.
- Summary Report: Results from each assessment and the interview are then summarized. These summary reports, as well as the reports from each assessment, will be compiled and provided for each individual.
While online assessments are extremely valuable, the Talent Interview is essential in pulling together the results of these assessments, as well as in further exploring strengths and areas for development.
