Our Privacy policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect and use the personal information and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our site and our products and services.
General Security Policy
DecisionWise is aware of your privacy concerns and will attempt to collect only as much data as is required to make your DecisionWise experience as delightful and as high in quality as possible, in the most discrete way.
The foregoing policies are effective as of June 1, 2008. DecisionWise reserves the right to change this policy at any time by notifying users of the existence of a new privacy statement. This statement and the policies outlined herein are not intended to and do not create any contractual or other legal rights in or on behalf of any party.
Information We Collect as Part of the 360 Degree Feedback Process
As a 360 degree feedback participant, we collect feedback from people that work with you regarding your performance using a survey that contains a defined set of leadership competencies and behaviors. This information is collected confidentially and provided to you in a report once the process is completed. As a rater (person providing feedback) your feedback will be combined with other rater responses and reported as a group average to maintain confidentiality. Your responses will not be individually identified unless you are the participant's supervisor.
Information We Collect on our Website
Visitors to DecisionWise's corporate website are not required to disclose any Personal Information. Browser-provided information, Internet Protocol Address, browser type, browser language etc. is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify individual users. This information is used solely to improve our services.
We sometimes collect information from our website such as requests for more information, newsletter registrations, and research/marketing surveys. This may include name, title, company, email, phone number and other information. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Anonymous aggregate survey responses are used for DecisionWise's ongoing research and analysis; participant information is never identified.
Viewing and Correcting Personal Information
We provide you with the means to update or change your personal information. Requests to change personal information collected on our corporate website, including related surveys, can be directed to info@decwise.com.
Safe Harbor Privacy Policy and Certification
The U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission have agreed on a set of data protection principles and frequently asked questions (FAQ) to enable U.S. companies to satisfy European Union (EU) law requirements for adequate protection of personal information transferred from the EEA to the United States. DecisionWise adheres with the safe harbor principles as follows:
Definitions
"Personal data" and "personal information" are data about an identified or identifiable individual that are within the scope of the Directive, received by a U.S. organization from the European Union, is recorded in any form; and can be linked to that individual.
Notice
An organization must inform individuals about the purposes for which it collects and uses information about them, how to contact the organization with any inquiries or complaints, the types of third parties to which it discloses the information, and the choices and means the organization offers individuals for limiting its use and disclosure. This notice must be provided in clear and conspicuous language when individuals are first asked to provide personal information to the organization or as soon thereafter as is practicable, but in any event before the organization uses such information for a purpose other than that for which it was originally collected or processed by the transferring organization or discloses it for the first time to a third party.
Choice
DecisionWise is acting as a data processor on behalf of its clients. DecisionWise uses individuals’ information (end-users of its system) for a purpose that may be incompatible with the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by the individual for the client.
Onward Transfer
It is the policy of DecisionWise, Inc to never release the personal information of its clients and their respective users to third parties, with the exception of court-issued subpoenas. Prior to disclosing any client information to a third party requesting information via subpoena, when possible, DecisionWise will provide clients 7 days written notice of the subpoena as well as the contact information to the subpoenaing party.
Security
DecisionWise maintains and has put in place reasonable precautions to protect information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.
Data Integrity
DecisionWise will only process personal information in a way that is compatible with the purposes for which it has been collected or subsequently authorized by the individual. To the extent necessary for these purposes, DecisionWise will take reasonable steps to ensure that data is reliable for its intended use, accurate, complete, and current.
Access
Individuals must have access to personal information about them that an organization holds and be able to correct, amend, or delete that information where it is inaccurate, except where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to the individual's privacy in the case in question, or where the rights of persons other than the individual would be violated.
