LIQ 360 Assessment Measures Four Domains of Leadership Effectiveness

Provo, UT June 20, 2011 -- DecisionWise, a management consulting firm specializing in leadership and organizational development, announced the release of the LIQ 360 assessment (Leadership Intelligence 360). In contrast to traditional 360-degree feedback assessments that measure basic leadership competencies, the LIQ 360 assesses the four domains of leadership effectiveness: expertise, performance, disposition, and interpersonal skills.

The four domains are different than leadership competencies. Each domain answers specific questions about a person’s leadership ability:

Expertise: Does the individual have the cognitive ability, knowledge, competency, and skill to succeed in the role?
Performance: Do they have a track record that proves they can achieve the results for which they will be accountable?
Disposition: Will their personal attitudes, characteristics, and style enhance their effectiveness?
Interpersonal: Will they engage others effectively and with integrity to accomplish organizational goals?

Tracy Maylett, the DecisionWise CEO, remarked: “Leaders today need to achieve at high levels, have the ability to recognize talent in themselves and others, and thrive in an ever changing environment.” Measurements of each of the four domains combine to create a comprehensive picture of an individual to foster succession planning and leadership development.

The LIQ 360 Assessment is based on more than 15 years of research on leadership effectiveness and the key behaviors that are vital for individual progress and growth. Organizations striving to develop their top talent can easily facilitate succession planning, leadership development, and hiring decisions using the LIQ 360.
